Music is powerful.  Whether you are listening to the symphony or singing in the shower, music has the ability to move you.  It puts sound to feelings and emotions.  Having spent the better part of my life as an accompanist, I had forgotten that lesson.  You simply play the music given and follow the direction of the soloist.  When you are the soloist, it is more complicated.  Which song to choose?  What mood to create?  The options for the soloist are overwhelming.

Transitioning from accompanist to soloist was a challenge.  I had to find and tap into my inner artist.  The music on this CD was carefully selected.  I started with close to 30 songs from my favorite composers and pared it down to the ones that made my fingertips tingle.  I hope you enjoy listening to them as much as I enjoyed playing them.
