Rev. Kevin Heckathorn (Mdiv, MACPC, LPCC-S), affectionately known as "Pastor Kevin" has been serving as the Senior Pastor at Johnstown Presbyterian since 2013. He is passionate about caring for others through teaching, counsel, and friendship.

In addition to being the Senior Pastor of The JPC, Kevin is an Independently Licensed Counselor with Supervisory status in Ohio, and currently holds sessions through Directions Counseling.

Kevin has been providing professional counseling services to individuals, couples and families since 1999.  He received a Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and a Master of Divinity from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Kevin has worked extensively with couples, whether that involves preparing them for marriage, or working through the challenges couples face.  He has additional training in helping couples recover from infidelity and concerns unique to men.  Kevin also specializes in working with individuals who are survivors of recent, and/or chronic, trauma.  With the combination of his clinical and pastoral training, Kevin seeks to interweave solid clinical practice with spiritual growth as he walks with clients through the healing process.

Kevin resides in Westerville, Ohio with his wife, Julie, and sons, Ben & Nathan.
